Dana Carter

BFA, BEd, Business Administration, Designer / Account & Production Coordinator

“You learn a lot when you’ve walked a few kilometres in different shoes. They may not all fit the same, but they’ll still get you where you’re going. (And hey, free shoes!)”

Dana has over two decades of experience in design, media, and marketing, with a background that spans local print shops to national campaigns. His strength lies in approaching projects from multiple creative & strategic angles with a healthy mix of curiosity and humour. His multi-disciplinary background means he spots solutions (or the occasional typo) others might miss.

At Pilot°, Dana wears many hats — figuratively and literally. Designing print and online materials, supporting account managers and clients, coordinating production, researching, writing and editing copy, creating content and analyzing results, conducting media buys, and keeping file systems impeccably tidy (because someone has to). All with a not-too-serious attitude, an eye for detail, and at least one grin-inducing comment queued up and ready.

He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) focused on illustration, photography, and design, a Bachelor of Education (Intermediate/Secondary), and recently completed Business Administration studies in Marketing, adding strategy to his creative toolkit.

A fan of pop culture and an occasional overthinker, Dana writes better for others than for himself. His wife and two yorkies would probably agree… kindly, but with side-eye.
